Why I Won't Shave My Beard
The Albiceleste captain, who turns 29 today (Friday), has had an impressive
Copa America Centenario so far, guiding his side to the final against Chile.
However, Messi and his teammates found themselves stuck on a delayed plane
on Thursday, and the star player used his Instagram account to reveal his anger
at the situation.
"Once again waiting on a plane to leave for our destination,"
Messi wrote.
"What a disaster the AFA are. My god!"
Shortly after Messi's post, Argentina's FA explained the reason behind the
plane carrying the national team being unable to depart.
"The Argentine Football Federation informs that the flight which is
transporting the countrywide team to New Jersey suffered a delayed departure
due to weather issues," AFA stated, as quoted by ESPN.
"Also, the AFA advises that all of the scheduled times of the transfers
are designated by the organisers of the Copa America Centenario."
