He scored a sublime 30 yard stunner for Argentina in the Copa America last night.
The South Americans were playing their neighbours the US with the chance of a semi-final place up for grabs.

Already leading 1-0, the Argentinians looked comfortable but when the magician’s slap went in, the result was sealed.

Any fight from the US was knocked out, and they were eventually beaten 4-0.

And it may just have sealed one of football’s most ever debates – Ronaldo or Messi?
The Portugal forward had a torrid first two games at Euro 2016, failing to score and missing a penalty.

He went some way to making up for it as he netted two goals in Portugal’s final group game, but his consistency has not matched his Barcelona counterpart who has taken the Copa America by storm.

He set up two assists in the quarter final clash and his latest goal saw him break the all-time goal scoring record for Argentina.

But not everything went swimmingly for the 2014 World Cup finalists.

Forward Ezequiel Lavezzi had a scary moment in the 62nd minute, when he fell over a barrier and broke his elbow.
